ArtPrize Seven

100 Faces, Art Prize, Art Prize 2015, Kristi Lynn Studio

It’s here. This is really happening. Pinch me.

I’ve gone to ArtPrize every year, and I’ve always wondered if I’d ever be part of it as an artist someday.

Well, here I am, thanks to God’s crazy plan. It’s all Him, people, all Him.

IMG_3069So what is ArtPrize? ArtPrize is described as a radically open international art competition decided by both public vote and expert jury. For 19 days, over 1,500 art entries from all over the world cover three square miles of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. It’s all free and open to the public. It truly is a must-see must-do experience!

You’ll find my entry, “100 Faces,” in the Grand Rapids Police Department along with 15 other ArtPrize entries. It’s really quite a lovely gallery like space. Once upon a time, this building was Herpolsheimer’s Department Store which was the real life inspiration for scenes from the “The Polar Express.”

ArtPrize has a very helpful website to help you plan your visit. That’s also where you can read my artist page and learn more my ArtPrize entry. It’s also good place to learn HOW TO VOTE.  Each ArtPrize entry has a vote code.

My vote code is 61940.

My Entry: 100 Faces

Location: GR Police Department, 01 Monroe Center NW

Dates: September 23- October 11

I will not be at my venue all day everyday. I’m still a wife and mom for the next three weeks! But I will try to be there as much as I can. I will make announcements on my Facebook page about the days and times that I’ll be with my entry. I’m really looking forward to interacting with the crowd and seeing the way people respond to my work. Hope to see you there!

Thank you. Just thank you. I’ve been so encouraged by your support!
